© 2023 PEAK Complyance, Most Rights Reserved *
We have specified “Most Rights Reserved” on our website, instead of the more conventional “All Rights Reserved.” This is because some of our web content is covered by a Creative Commons license, which means that it may be copied and even re-purposed, with some stipulations. We have made this decision because we would like to contribute to the digital commons, defined by Creative Commons as “a pool of content that can be copied, distributed, edited, remixed, and built upon, all within the boundaries of copyright law.”
We are using the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license, also known as the BY-NC-SA license. Here is how the license permits visitors to re-use our work.
Attribution (BY). We want credit for our work. When re-using our materials, the re-poster must properly identify origin of the work. Attributing the work to PEAK Complyance with a backlink is acceptable; if re-posters like to go one step farther and cite the name of the author, that would be lovely.
NonCommercial (NC). Re-posters may remix, tweak, and build upon our work, as long as no one makes a profit from it.
ShareAlike (SA). The product creators derive from our work must become part of the digital commons in the same manner ours is. New work must be licensee under the same terms as the PEAK Complyance work re-used, that is, the BY-NC-SA license.
Some of our project-specific reports, available as PDFs in the various pages and publication pages, are covered under this license, and all of our blogposts are covered. We have marked blogposts and papers as either licensed under Creative Commons or licensed as a traditional copyright. If something is not marked and there is a desire to use it, please contact us for clarification on the license. You may send queries via email to info @ peakcomplyance.com.
